February 9, noon to 6pm
When we sit in a Circle we can be truly present with one another. A talking stick is potent medicine that creates space and allowance, affords clarity and equality within a Circle for the one speaks from the heart and those who listen fully. A foundation for respect, the use of a talking stick is an old way that creates deep intimacy.
Every talking stick is a unique piece of work. Preparing and sanding the wood is a meditation, an opportunity for prayer. What powers would you choose to include? Symbols. Paint. Feathers. Fur. Crystals. Bones. Carvings.
This workshop day is ceremony – crafting the medicine and the underpinning for its use. I encourage you to bring and include significant and beloved personal objects. All necessary materials provided.
